Helping To Conserve Energy
In
Britain today, we are facing an unprecedented energy crisis with experts predicting that within forty years we will no longer be able to rely on energy sources such as gas. It appears to be a doomsday scenario, yet we can do much to help ourselves if we open our eyes to alternative sources of energy.
One room in the house that can be a source of major heat loss in the winter is the conservatory, however a
Devon based firm has come up with an eco friendly answer to the problem.
“By taking simple measures such as upgrading your conservatory roof to 25 or 32 mm polycarbonate roofing can make a big difference to heat loss,” said Jane Fitzsimons, Commercial Director for Omega Plastics. “ We are also able to supply solar inserts or solar firm if it’s a glass roof which also helps with reducing heat loss in winter, or overheating in summer. If your conservatory roof is very old, then it may be best to replace it with a new one. Another way to keep your conservatory warm is install a more effective heating system and we now have some excellent products available on the market place that will do the job very effectively.”
