Omega
Basic method of fixing OM112 glazing bars to rafters PDF Print E-mail
IMPORTANT
The cut width of the polycarbonate glazing must allow for expansion and contraction of the sheet - see installation tips.

Position the self adhesive flashing along the glazed roof line and/or parapet.

Pre drill the fixing holes every 500mm down the length of the top bar to allow for the fixing screws specified.
Fit the bead gaskets.
Position the rafter gasket on top of the rafter.
Ensure the top bars are cut long enough to fall 50mm into the gutter.
Position the first glazing sheet (with aluminium top tape and anti dust tape fitted) on top of the rafter gasket. Place top cap in position and screw down onto the rafter, trapping the glazing sheet.

After fixing the first sheet, simply work across the roof pressing down the self adhesive flashing as you go. Make any adjustments to the width of the last sheet to take up any tolerance build-up.

Refer to Omega glazing bars for parapet and verge details.

Fit the end closure extrusions and end caps.
