Balanced Vertical sliding secondary glazing units designed specifically to accompany sash windows. These discreet units house panes that  both slide up and down and remain in place at any chosen position.

They come as standard with:

  • 4mm toughened glass pre-glazed
  • 43mm frame depth predrilled for face fix
  • Panels split evenly unless requested otherwise
  • White gaskets
  • 20mm white PVC trims supplied
  • BVS MAX WIDTH 1500mm MAX HEIGHT 3000mm
  • Optimum Noise Reduction: 50dB (Rw) Using 6mm toughened primary glazing and 6.8mm acoustic laminate secondary glazing.  Ideally 150-200mm glass to glass
  • Optimum U Value: 1.868 W/m2K Using 4mm toughened Low E glazing, with 10-20mm glass-to-glass

Vertical sliding secondary glazing designed especially for secondary glazing sash windows. These
discreet units house self-supporting panes that remain in place at any chosen position. To operate the
panel, ensure the handle section is gripped at either side. Panels should not be operated by grabbing
the middle of the handle section.

How to operate a  balanced vertical slider secondary glazing unit
Hold the bottom handle section of the unit and push in the button which is located to the centre of the meeting
styles. This allows the bottom panel to slide up and the top panel to slide down. In order to locate the push button
again, the top panel must be pushed right to the top and the bottom panel right to the bottom.
In order to lock the catch again, the top panel must be pushed right to the top and the bottom panel, right to the
bottom and the button will locate automatically.
